Gas Plant Web Deck Solution

Vertech were recently engaged to provide an access solution to carry out coating remediation works on the walkways of Berth 2 on the Karratha Gas Plant. Scaffold was not an option for this scope due to tidal conditions and constraints caused by shipping movements so a bespoke solution was required.

Vertech designed and installed a system that was of a low enough profile that it did not affect shipping movements. Crucially, this meant that the system did not have to be removed to allow for ship berthing and loading. The system was also designed to allow for quick and easy de-boarding in high tide and wind situations.

These design initiatives and cost efficiencies provided our client with exceptional time and cost savings, paving the way for alternative access on Woodside facilities both onshore and offshore.
