Chris Thompson

Project Manager - Offshore & Projects

Chris manages our offshore and topside department for inspection campaigns, maintenance and brownfield projects. In this area we work directly with major operators, support EPCs, EPCMs and work in collaboration with other vendors across FPSOs, platforms and drilling assets.

Process and Structures is a dynamic area of Vertech’s business due to the diversity of work types and the varying level of complexity in each scope of work. Chris’s team and site personnel apply an unrivalled balance between client focus and the implementation of innovative methodologies and technologies to produce first-class outcomes in this challenging area of the industry.

Vertech’s success in this area has seen our influence and reputation grow and the complexity and scale of projects increase. Projects in this area now include flare tip replacements, derrick decommissioning, riser and structural weld repairs, crane inspection and repair, and using engineered decking and netting alternative access systems for over the side work.
